Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Metabolica — the app at app.metabolica.health and this website. By creating an account or otherwise using Metabolica, you agree to them. Please also review our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

1. Definitions

• "Service" means the Metabolica app (app.metabolica.health) and this website (metabolica.health).
• "Content" means text, design, and materials we create and publish as part of the Service.
• "Your data" or "Your Content" means the account details and health/lifestyle entries you provide or log while using the Service.
• "We," "us," "our" refers to Metabolica's operator. "You" refers to the person using the Service.

2. Metabolica does not provide medical services

Using Metabolica does not create a doctor-patient relationship of any kind. Always consult a qualified clinician about your health, and especially before making any changes to diet, medication, fasting, or other habits based on what you track here. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately — do not rely on this app.

We don't warrant the accuracy or completeness of any calculation the app shows you (for example, GKI or zone estimates) — they're general reference tools based on the values you enter, not clinical results.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Metabolica account. By signing up, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid email address and keep it current, since we use it for account confirmation and password resets. Notify us immediately at info@metabolica.health if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You can deactivate your account and request deletion of your data at any time — see Your choices in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Metabolica is meant for personal, individual use. You agree not to:

• Use the Service to log or manage data on behalf of someone else without their consent
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the Service's security or infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or use automated tools against the Service beyond normal personal use
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. Your data and content

You own the health and lifestyle data you log in Metabolica. We don't claim any ownership over it, and we don't use it for anything beyond providing the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're solely responsible for the accuracy of what you log — the app can only reflect the data you give it.

7. Our rights over the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We aim to keep Metabolica available and reliable, but it's provided without uptime guarantees, and we may need to take it offline temporarily for maintenance.

All design, branding, text, and code that make up the Service (excluding your own data) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property law. These terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets beyond what's needed to use the Service normally.

8. Third-party services

Metabolica relies on infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend) to operate — see the Privacy Policy for details. We're not responsible for outages or issues originating from these providers, though we'll do our best to keep the Service running smoothly regardless.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metabolica is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do our best to keep the Service accurate and functioning correctly, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly secure.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metabolica and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service — including any health-related decisions you make based on data you track in it. Your use of the Service, and any decisions you base on it, are at your own risk (see Section 2). Our total liability arising from these terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, which today is zero, as the Service is free.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You can stop using Metabolica and delete your account at any time from the Profile screen, or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, misuses the Service, or poses a security risk to other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 9, 10, and 11 — will continue to apply after your account is closed.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory law of your own country of residence provides otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
